Maintenance Officer

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure all equipment is working in good and safe condition, adhering to Brand Standards.
• Oversee and ensure preventive maintenance of equipment is completed as required to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Ensure compliance with local OSHA regulations for pressure vessels, YUM Fryer Certification for cookers, calibration of measuring devices, and equipment validation.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for the replacement of outdated equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
• Adhere to YUM's replacement plan for unapproved equipment to maintain brand consistency and operational standards.
• Ensure critical spare equipment is available to minimize downtime in case of equipment failure.
• Monitor and adhere to the maintenance budget by tracking expenses, analyzing root causes of breakdowns, and identifying abnormal costs (e.g., misuse of equipment or exceptional repairs).
• Conduct training sessions and workshops on the first level of maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Educate staff on proper equipment operation and maintenance practices to enhance operational efficiency and minimize downtime.

Key Competencies:

• Diploma in Civil or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Officer or in a similar role for at least 4 years, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, repair techniques, and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of building and equipment maintenance techniques.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Interpret architectural, electric, plumbing and mechanic drawings.
• Conversant with AutoCAD
• Conversant with "GMAO" or any maintenance management software.
